CUAVA-2 and WaratahSeed-1 appear to have separated in time:

I don’t know which is which, but one of them follows 70302 well and the other follows 70309 well, from the latest celestrak sup-GP set.

401 MHz is an absolute CIRCUS when these Tranporter-11 sats all come by at more-or-less the same time!

But, thanks to the improved TLEs that have been provided, I was able to doppler track Connecta_IoT-2 accurately enough for some 4k8 decodes.

Signals here received on the 2.5-turn helical omni sized for 400-450 MHz.

Also, do we know which sat has the musical downlink closer to 401.500 MHz?

Noisy audio → https://www.qsl.net/k/k4kdr//audio/2024-08-18_T-11_401.500_musical.mp3

(…perhaps if I get a better recording, there might be a sat ID in the CW beacon)

That definitely looks like Kanyini, it will beacon like that once per minute.

This probably doesn’t belong to to T11, is should be barry-1, check this old thread Music on 401.495? - #3 by fredy

Can you verify that it was visible during your observation period?

If it wasn’t then it would be a nice challenge to find which one is it.

EDIT:
Note to self, in case that Barry-1 wasn’t at FOV during the observation, also ENDUROSAT ONE, which is now re-entered, was transmitting the same music at 437.050 MHz New Satellites Suggestions for db: MemSat and EnduroSat - #15 by fredy, so it may give a hint which of the new satellites could transmitting this.

From a quick search, it could be Deimos. According to Deimos Satellite - Nanosats Database :

Deimos is a 1.5U Cubesat manufactured by Endurosat that is hosting a pair of Electro-Optical (EO) sensors and a custom developed edge computing platform.

Also @yurimdias has suggested a transmitter at 401.500 MHz in SatNOGS DB for Deimos after personal contact with the team. @yurimdias can you verify or invalidate that Deimos transmit “Ode to Joy” music at 401.500 MHz?

Scheduling for the next 48h for the UHF satellites is done. The satellites are now split into two groups going together, thus giving us more observations in stations.

Note 1: The uneven number of observations are mostly result of how many stations support each frequency, if the satellites are coordinated, if they share their frequency with other satellites, if the frequency we have is confirmed or not etc…

Note 2: We don’t show bellow S-band observations

Below is the current status update, several satellites has been received either in their observations or in observations of other satellites that were near in frequency.

Keep in mind that the received satellites without demodulation may be other satellites than the expected as in many cases the frequencies are not 100% confirmed, so without demodulation or other characteristics of the transmissions we can not say for sure about a satellite.

From the last pass:

  • Kanyini still following 70311 pretty well, seeing some slightly deviations.
  • CUAVA-2 and WaratahSeed-1, one is a little ahead of 70302, and the other a little behind 70309.

Fitting observations (mean anomaly fit only) to 70302 and 70309, we get:

1 70302U 24229.82612544 .00000000 00000-0 94401-4 0 08
2 70302 97.4420 305.4155 0003552 75.0759 261.6479 15.16590737 00
1 70309U 24229.82762081 .00000000 00000-0 20775-3 0 09
2 70309 97.4475 305.4148 0010309 145.7427 197.8163 15.18796015 03

The satellite near 70309 is also approx 1 kHz higher in frequency (400.651 MHz).

Had aimed my Satellite camera to the first passing group of the Transporter 11 pass. I observed several objects. The TLEs used are the latest from this thread, with the Satnogs numbering. The objects detected are the brighter (bigger) ones. Probably deployers and bigger satellites. The smaller cubesats are supposed to be to small to be visible for my setup.

First object is running early on 70388:

Second one is close to either 70388 and 98833:

Third object is closest to 70394:

The fourth is weaker (smaller) and close to 98839 and 98832:

Hi,

Yes, that’s Deimos. It should be changed to the nominal one pretty soon.

Is the nominal at 400.500 MHz?

Are frequencies at 400.200 MHz and 400.300 MHZ coming from FCC as centered frequencies valid?

A first batch of generated TLE sets based on the latest observations. Some notes first:

  • The TLE may not be fully accurate in some cases as the observations didn’t allow to get good measurements.
  • The list includes the two TLE sets @vk5qi has generated for WARATAH SEED-1 and CUAVA-2, changed to use the temporary NORAD ID of SatNOGS DB.
  • Have in mind that the latest TLE sets are accessible via SatNOGS DB API in 3le format.

Hey Fredy! Thanks for all the work here. How are you calculating the BSTAR parameter?

Currently I’m using the one by given on the initial TLE by Celestrak.

In some case I’ve also tried to fit it to our data with strf but there wasn’t any significant difference so I kept the one of Celestrak.

Is there a good way to download decoded data from an observation in one go?
Currently I’m copying the links of 30+ decoded beacons by hand into a url.txt and use wget -i url.txt to download all frames, but there’s got to be a better way surely?

Kanyini now running slightly ahead of the post-deployment TLEs from the 18th.

Fitting mean anomaly based on the top FSK tone gives:

1 70311U 24229.82815206 .00000000 00000-0 79944-4 0 03
2 70311 97.4456 305.4159 0004368 104.9065 242.6542 15.17077786 06

(I note this output from rfffit sets some of the parameters to zero - is this normal or am I doing something wrong?)
