All passes were low at my location. I did receive 3 images this morning, but poor quality. Iām using an Arrow 5 2m/70m yagi, but without a rotator - so the antenna is fixed directly upwards, which is far from ideal,
I need an antenna rotator! Can anyone suggest a ācheapā az/el rotator solution for my lightweight antenna? Thanks.
In this repo: GitHub - YohanHadji/SuperAntennaz: SuperAntennaz is an Antenna Rotator for Satellite Tracking.
You may try to get your hands on a used SARCTRAC.
They are no longer built due to component supply problems.

After the image with the mission logo, the satellite stopped SSTV transmissions
On October 19, 2024, the Korolev Scientific and Engineering Lyceum celebrates its 35th anniversary. At the request of the Lyceum students, the UMKA-1 (RS40S) spacecraft has been used to broadcast images in SSTV format.
SSTV broadcast schedule:
- Transmission start: October 18, 2024 at 16:55 UTC.
- Transmission end: October 19, 2024 at 09:05 UTC.

See the post made on the r4uab website HERE
Immediately after the SSTV broadcast on October 19, UMKA-1 will take part in the āspace raceā; the conditions for participation can be read in the topic.
In addition, the UMKA telescope satellite team will send a special eQSL card dedicated to this event.
To receive it, you must send an application by email:

Was the 18:29 transmission in a B/W mode? I got the same picture just after 18:30 and that was in color.
Jomjom79
Yes, it was in B/W.
