HADES-SA CODEC2 Voice

hades_sa_codec2.zip (190.1 KB)

I’ve updated the first post with the unknown satellites and other changes fixed until now.

We’ve just confirmed with the team and I’m going to merge the unknown entries in DB, so we have:

ERMIS 1: 401.550 MHz (Unknown 7 - T16)
ERMIS 2: 401.250 MHz (Unknown 3 - T16)
ERMIS 3: 401.313 MHz

Reception of Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy” melody on 401.360 MHz. The satellite seems to be from this batch and the signal cannot be from Balkan-1 or Padre which transmit @ 9600 bd on the same frequency. Any idea?

maybe it is EMISAR - Info for HAM radio enthusiasts - Romanian InSpace Engineering

I think I’ve received EMISAR on its nominal frequency but the signal was too weak to be demodulated.

From D-orbit’s ION deployer we expect 4 more cubesats (4x8U) to be deployed in the next weeks:

Hello Everyone,

These new sats are certainly keeping many of us busy! For HADES-SA, had to collect CODEC2 data from several passes to gather enough frames for sufficiently understandable audio. Hopefuly this will get a bit easier once satellite spinning slows and we have better TLEs.

With apologies to all the Spanish speaking friends here but I had to use Whisper, open-source speech-to-text system.

Huge signal from EMISAR downlink of 5x 9k6 packets over the Eastern U.S. Had to replay to decode since the TLE is only an estimate & the single burst of packets doesn’t give you any opportunity to manually doppler adjust.

Has anyone notice DISCO-2? While we expect a 9k6 signal, there is in several of its observations some signals which look like 4k8 ones. I’ve tried to check if they fit to other known satellites on this frequency but nothing came up.
