HADES-R TLE Update

It is still a challenge to match the Doppler.

A slight update on AlAinSat-1:

The modulation is: GMSK 4800 (AX100 ASM+Golay) mode 5

Hi Jan:

In the last pass some minutes ago, with no “experiment superlong frame”, your last Hades-R TLEs matches quite well. The issue is when the pass has a superlong frame. In that kind of passes is very difficult to make a proper doppler correction

Hi David,

I checked the current TLE against one or more of those passes and came to the same conclusion, it isn’t perfect but can support the mission.

All the best,

Jan PE0SAT

Dear SatNOGS Community,

We are currently experiencing difficulties in communicating with our satellites, Skylink-1 and Skylink-2. The TLE data we have for these satellites is now outdated, making it challenging to establish reliable tracking.

To improve the situation, we would greatly appreciate any assistance in identifying signals that might correspond to these satellites. If any signals can be correlated with them, updating the TLE data accordingly would be extremely helpful.

Here are the database links with details on the satellites:
:link: Skylink-1
:link: Skylink-2

If anyone can help track potential signals or suggest methods to refine their orbital parameters, we would be very grateful. Any observations, suggestions, or insights would be highly valued.

Thank you in advance for your support!

Very happy to start looking for your signals.

I see the modulation listed as ‘9600’… can you provide any additional information as to the framing or encoding of your downlink signal?

Also, do you have a sample audio or I/Q file that we can use to confirm our decoding software? It’s very helpful to KNOW that you have a working configuration when hunting for the actual signals.

Thank you!

I passed the request to listen for Skylink-1/2 to Bob, N6RFM. He setup his Texas location for the pass tonight around 0453utc (31-Jan-2025) and based his observations on the TLE:

… strong signals were seen that, on replay, decoded as:

Hi again,

Thank you so much for your prompt response and for your effort in helping us locate the signals! We greatly appreciate your support.

@K4KDR Regarding the IQ file, you can find it at the following link:
IQ File

Unfortunately, after reviewing the decoded frames, the payload does not match the expected format for Skylink-1 and Skylink-2 signals.

We’ll continue our search and share any additional information as it becomes available. Your assistance is invaluable, and we thank you again for your time and effort!

Best regards

Thank you very much for the Skylink I/Q file!

I was only able to decode a single frame - and even then one-time only… I must have been right on the edge of the correct settings.

Can you confirm if the framing is indeed ENDUROSAT?

How many valid frames are contained in this I/Q sample file?

And finally, do you know the FM deviation in use by your transmitter?

Thanks!

One detail on endurosat, I have looked at a bunch of frames earlier and some use the first as length. Looking at the frame above, this seems to match as d0 is the length and first byte.

Hi Brian,

Do you the latest TLE for Elevation-1

We seem to have an unknown satellite on 437.780 that is part of the T12 launch (the reason it seems to match PARUS-T1)

If more information is available on this unknown satellite, please share it.
