IO-86 SSDV Experiment

For the past month, PRTeksat and AMSAT-ID have been running SSDV (Slow-Scan Digital Video) experiments via the IO-86 FM repeater. I’m creating this topic to document the event and preserve all the image transmissions and receptions so nothing gets lost. The main software used was ssdv2sat by @bali:

However, some participants also used other Android-based apps. To keep things organized, this thread will focus specifically on the IO-86 SSDV experiments. Feel free to share your received images, decode results, setups, or any tips :slightly_smiling_face:

*nb: both sent the image multiple times, YD0BSK has some QRM issues, YD0NXX’s image is complemented from each transmission with 93% decode.

Nitin (SatNOGS Network - Observation 13469123) is at a higher elevation. His satnogs station will pick IO 86. I am sorrounded by buildings.

maybe if your elevation is possible, and you’re luck enough, you can try yourself send ssdv over io86. just use tx.py script that include in ssdv2sat.

btw tommorow until weekend, maybe you can try ssdv event. check time here

Is this from the observation that you shared??

No image file is created. Only .bin and .txt
