Vikram-1 Launch & Sat Deployment Successful

Against all odds, the Vikram-1 launch appears to have been 100% successful on their very first attempt!

Hopefully a TLE will surface soon and since several satellites deployed on live video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lLd1cI7v0U ), we can start looking for those as well.

A quick Google search shows:

–Skyroot’s own SCOPE satellite to collect performance data
SOLARAS S3 nanosatellite (Grahaa Space)
–a technology demonstrator (DCUBED)
–the Embrace space-debris capture robotic arm (Cosmoserve Space)

… let’s hope the success continues w/ satellites that give us some downlink signals!

If ‘DCUBED-1’ is the DCUBED on this launch, they have a downlink listed in ITU of 435.225 and what I assume is an Iridium radio for larger volume downlinks.

SCOPE is only listing an S-Band downlink on 2250 MHz.

Should anyone wonder, the VIKRAM-1 vehicle itself does have an ITU entry, but it just lists the entire S-Band downlink spectrum. So, unless a frequency becomes known, that one would have to found by searching.

If posted here I’ll add it to DB for the satellites of this launch and I’ll schedule a couple of observations.

Dcubed 1 (Araqys D1) was launched on 11.01.2026 with Falcon-9 v1.2 (Block 5)

SOLARAS S3 does have an IARU frequency coordination on UHF, but no frequency listed yet:

It appears that frequency coordination has not been completed

and we currently have no idea about the satellite’s TT&C frequencies.

You are right, obviously frequency not yet coordinated.. only formally submitted.. frequency unknown.

Thanks to Nitin, VU2JEK for clarification:

The SOLARAS mission , launched from the Alcântara Space Centre, Brazil, on 22 December 2025. Unfortunately, the launch vehicle experienced a catastrophic failure and exploded. The SOLARAS deployed today by Vikram-1 ( Skyroot Launch) is similar configuration and approved by IARU.

First pass of the VIKRAM-1 sats over the U.S. East Coast high enough to be taken seriously tonight (~0700utc 19-July), but nothing seen on or around 437.450 (SOLARAS).

I’ve chosen randomly OBJECT B to start following for SOLARAS, so here is the TLE with using the temporary NORAD ID:

Thanks for the update,

I do think it is weird we have no observations in the Network and I also have no new signals in mu 434 - 438 MHz STRF recordings.

Did anybody receive signals from SOLARAS ?
