In total 968 observations have been scheduled for the first 24h after deployment of the satellites. We have used the TLE sets of the previous post.

The difference in the number of scheduled observations is based to:

  • Frequency of transmission of the satellite
  • Orbit of the satellite/TLE set
  • Request by or communication with the satellite team
  • Spectrum misuse or violation of regulations

From the first observations:

Vegafly-1, HADES-SA, Optisat seems to be alive.

Also I’ve created two unknown objects one for 437.000 MHz @PE0SAT discovered as well as one for 401.350 MHz visible in EMISAR observations:

Regarding the issue of receiving a newly deployed satellite

Should I strictly follow the predicted events, or should I prepare well in advance to receive the signal?

HADES-SA/SpinnyONE rx in :greece:

Given that the TLE are not fully accurate usually 2min before/after the pass you can start observing the satellite for the manual observation.

For the Network we follow a pre launch TLE, so we expect to see the satellite but not in a straight line as usually.

Okay, I will proceed with an unplanned manual observation of Hades-SA. Thank you for the message.

If all goes well, I will immediately record the IQ baseband and send it to AMSAT-EA.

Updates for PHOBOS and OPTISAT UHF beacon configuration are done.

Also adding FEMTO-1 to the DB, which we have the UHF configured for 401.36 MHz at 9k6

On the waterfall there are 3 identical AX.100 signals on ~401.250 MHz, ~401.313 MHz and ~401.550 MHz. All decoded frames start with “83 87 80 01 01…”
Could these signals be from the three ERMIS satellites?

Great point!

According to ITU filing
we expect them in these two ranges: 401.2 - 401.275 and 401.3-401.325

So, 401.250 and 401.313 looks good. 401.550 not but if it decodes similar packet then it could be the third Ermis.

I’m going to add the right mode in DB for these three and let’s keep observing to find out.
