Great question - I don’t know.

And on replay of my Hydra-W I/Q files, I’m not getting a decode. So, emailed Andy back to ask.

The back story on this is that earlier this morning he emailed asking if I had any Hydra-W I/Q files for him to test with. I did not, but much to my surprise it was coming over in about 30-seconds from the time of that email!

I quickly reconfigured & got -3- decent frames. He decoded one of them and sent the link I posted above. Here was his decode:

Not an answer for why I’m not decoding Hydra-W on I/Q replay when using the new UZ7HO SoundModem but Andy replied with some helpful info.

He produced an audio file from my sample from this morning and shared it with me - clearly that decodes just fine both in SoundModem and the included β€˜KISSGENESIS.exe’ decoder:

Yes, the previous download was removed.

Here is a β€˜Universal’ SoundModem that should accommodate any
HADES or HYDRA satellites on any SSB sideband.

the deployment of the next HERMES satellite from ION - HERMES H5 - is foreseen for tomorrow, April 9, at 07:29 UTC.

We kindly ask your support with H5 observations.
Details of the UHF beacon are the same as for H1, H2 and H6 (401.5 MHz, GFSK 25000 baud)

As an estimated TLE, we receved these from the service provider:

It seems that ION SCV 017 is object 63230 (2025-052W) so I guess using that as a starting point should be save.

Hi, I’m not sure that NORAD TLEs for Object W are completely up-to-date (the ION deployer just finished a phasing maneuver for the H5 release). I would suggest to use instead the TLEs for HERMES H5 estimated after release from the service provider.
Of course as soon as we will receive any update on that we will share them.

HERMES H6 TLE has been added in DB and observations scheduled in Network after the deployment date 2025-04-09 07:29 UTC.
