Any word on a time, or social media account, that might announce the ION_SVC-* deployments?

Just this message from D-Orbit’s X account from yesterday.

We’re glad to highlight @AlbaOrbital, a returning passenger aboard our ION SCV Eminent Emmanuel! :rocket: The two AlbaOrbital deployers, AlbaPods, will deploy 6 pocketcube satellites :artificial_satellite: Welcome aboard!

Nothing from Alba Orbital and nothing on their websites.

Hi friends,

This RX seems good. By the sound it could really be HADES-R

At that time the Hades-R was still inside of the OTV. So I dont think that signal is Hades-R

No signal was heard from the HADES-R and POQUITO satellites at the ~01:50UTC pass with approximately 70 degrees elevation to my QTH here in Brazil

ION_SVC-16 pass over the Eastern U.S. 0345utc max EL = 72°, but nothing seen from HADES-R on 436.888.

Using an omni antenna, so exact TLE not required.

3 distinct HADES-R 200bps FSK transmissions were observed at my location during 0300Z pass over USA. Signals weak. No decodes.

Looks like both SKYLINK-1 and SKYLINK-2 are transmitting beacons.

Can we update the TLE for the SKYLINK-2 as follows

1 99999U 25000XX 25023.57810304 .00004178 00000-0 -29254-4 0 9999
2 99999 97.4594 106.1273 0002517 218.8660 320.9107 15.16419471 59107

A Soundmodem from UZ7HO to decode HADES-R.

From AMSAT-EA with sample file and documentation.

Hi,

Can you share a screenshot of the waterfall? It can be very useful to see the pattern.

Thanks a lot,

Félix EA4GQS

Hello Doug.

Thanks for your report. Could you please check the exact time of your SWL?. At 0300z Hades-R had footprint over Australia and Antarctica far away from US

The TLE changed to the temporary NORAD ID we use in SatNOGS DB:

1 98656U 25000XX 25023.57810304 .00004178 00000-0 -29254-4 0 9998
2 98656 97.4594 106.1273 0002517 218.8660 320.9107 15.16419471 59106

Good RX here too:

We think the battery was low. With battery charged, longer packets and with higher power.
