The only option that was suggested by the Apple Store for my old iPad was ‘Server Auditor’.
It seems to work Ok, but there are no color options.
Just do an iPad only search and see what comes up for your vintage iPad is my suggestion.

I second the termius recommendation - unfortunately it requires iOS 10 which deprecates anything older than 4th-gen ipad 
iSSH was great before termius but it seems that its gone now.

ahh, but its likely an older version of termius… as much as I love ios, this is an issue with the walled garden, no good way of going back in time once an app has moved on (in other words, a newly powered iOS 9 device would not see termius as available in the app store today, as it requires 10)… and unless I’m mistaken, you can’t just go looking for the “last known supported” version in the app store.

Believe me, I am no fan of Apple products (and this is one of the many reasons why). This thing just refuses to die, though.
