please note that recording, extracting and plotting doppler data takes some time which is a limited resource for everyone, and especially for people providing data analysis in their free time. They might also rather decide themself what analysis to work on.
That said, if you see something which might require further attention, e.g. a satellite where the TLE doesn’t match anymore, it helps most to create a post with a list of observations which show the TLE mismatch.
Best wishes,
Fabian
PS: Do we have any special interest in Connecta T1.1? As far as I can see it is a commercial “IoT” satellite outside the amateur band, correct? Sure, we can track it, but is there any use to the community from it?
Hi Fabian,
Thanks for your polite warning.
I am not convincing anyone to analyse anything, I just wanted to inform @EelkeVisser that here is someone who is interested to see the analysis of Connecta T1.1. Of course it’s up to him to decide what to analyse and where to spent time in this volunteered callobration.

P.S. : I think SatNogs community capabilities are not limited (and will not be limited to) amateur bands only. Developing a huge system with the power of community is the power of SatNogs I believe.
Anything within the limits of our capabilities will help us to learn more.
Anyway, I have no direct relationship with any of the satellites being tracked with the latest launch (except Foresail-1), but interested in improving the capabilities of the network.
Summary
TheTLE used in SatNogs for Connecta T1.1 looks good, but it will always be good to map the observations and see the telemetry is 100% consistent or not. Whenever someone has some free time to waste for it.
I fully agree with you that SatNOGS shouldn’t be limited to the amateur bands. I mentioned amateur bands just as one possible motivation for SatNOGS to dedicate resources to a mission. There can be other reasons to dedicate resources (e.g. Space Situational Awareness, in that case we might not need the best and latest tracking, but only enough to differentiate satellites).
We can focus our resources. And the cool thing is that this focus can even very between different contributors.
Thanks for checking that Connecta T1.1 TLE looks good! <3
I have made a new TLE from scratch for PLANETUM-1, it appears that the drag term B* was set to high for the post launch tle. This orbit is circular and gives a better fit. so hopefully it stays valid for a longer period of time!
I have read the discussion. And your both right. I don’t mind working on a TLE for a commercial sat, but I have a very limited amount of time. It will probably only happen if it interests/challenges me. I think the commercial world and the opensource world work together perfectly, and I think that should also be the case for satellites!
Another problem is, that it has wide band data which is more work for me, and it is in the commercial band which I cannot record at my own station at the same time as the amateur band.
But thanks for informing me, and for keeping an eye on all those sats.
P.S. Any insider news from Foresail team to share?
Can you (or some one else) add it to https://db.satnogs.org/satellites/
Login in at the top right and next click the edit button on the ‘All satellites’ page to add the satellite. Once added you can find it again on the Homepage and add the transmitter.
Thank you @yurimdias and @PE0SAT TLE set for platform-1 has been updated. All the observations were too off with the new TLE set, so I removed and re-scheduled most of them.
To station owners, feel free to schedule more observations, just have in mind that for this launch we currently track 4 satellites at 400MHz range and 3 on the 430 amateur range and we need to share the scheduling time of the stations.
I have used the ITR station to gather more data points on FORESAIL. I needed to reset the drag term to default and next fitted Mean Anomaly and Mean Motion.
@oh2uds before I add it, in order to know what to add in the source field, does this TLE set comes from LeoLabs somewhere publicly or it is coming from the satellite team and it was taken from LeoLabs?
From matrix discussion we have a new TLE set that has been added in DB for SelfieSat. As this TLE set was too off from the previous one, I had to remove the future observations and re-scheduled most of them, please if you had scheduled SelfieSat, please schedule it again.
For now following @PE0SAT suggestion we follow in DB and Network OBJECT G(52738) for Planetum-1 and OBJECT AL(52766) for Foresail-1. We will check the rest satellites too. The above doesn’t mean we have identified the satellites, maybe we are waiting more TLE sets and also we wait these TLE sets to be assigned to the objects before any identification.
