I’ve updated the first post with info, in total we have METEOR and 18 other satellites (16 SITRO-AIS, one ZORKIY-2M and PARS-1 from Iran).

nasaspaceflight.com discussion, with several sources and info in Soyuz-2.1b/Fregat - Meteor-M №2-4 - Vostochny - 29 February 2024 (05:43 UTC)

Thanks also to @geoscan for his help.

Below is a TLE set for METEOR M2-4, I’ve calculated it using @cgbsat sattools by following @vk5qi guide and info from Meteor-M 2-4 And Others | Soyuz 2.1b/Fregat | Everyday Astronaut entry for this launch.

METEOR M2-4
1 98958U 24060.24196759 .00000000 00000-0 50000-4 0 06

DISCLAIMER: Take the TLE set with a grain of salt, as this is my first attempt for generating TLE for a launch.

If there is any other calculation/source of TLE for this launch, please let us know with a reply here.

I’m going to use this TLE for the other satellites in SatNOGS DB and Network too:

PARS 1
1 98953U 24060.24196759 .00000000 00000-0 50000-4 0 01

Satellites will be available for scheduling in SatNOGS Network in the next hour.

Ok, the launch appeared to go well & the livestream ran until just after separation. So, time to listen for news about the orbit, confirmed TLE, and when any of the transmitters are first heard!

There are some TLE sets by @R4UAB in https://r4uab.ru/satonline.txt

NOTE: in the ZORKIY-2M-2 TLE in the first line the checksum is 2 instead of 3 in the original link.

I’m going to use these TLE sets in DB and Network and re-schedule some observations, also for PARS-1 I’ll use ZORKIY-2M-2 TLE set. TLE sets using DB’s temporary NORAD IDs:

It looks like ZORKIY-2M 2 is active at 401.480 MHz: SatNOGS Network - Observations

And the TLE provided by @R4UAB are accurate enough.

Unfortunately it looks like we had a false positive with ZORKIY-2M 2, as in most cases the signal is ZORKIY-2M (the first one with 57177 NORAD ID). I’ve checked all the good ones with ikhnos, so I’m fixing the vetting in the ones that ZORKIY-2M fits and I’m going to do a deeper check on the others, maybe it is ZORKIY-2M 2 or another satellite.

This post by @R4UAB Все 17 спутников российской частной космической компании «SPUTNIX» после запуска вышли на связь | R4UAB shows what’s going on.

I’ve updated DB with the new names/frequencies etc, I’ll add in the next hours TLE for scheduling SITRO satellites and I’ll update the first post accordingly.

Also there are good evidence that we have received PARS-1, in several stations. Still checking to make sure!

Here is a list of TLE sets for each satellite, actually is the same TLE just changed with the temporary NORAD ID we use for each satellite in DB. Thanks to @PE0SAT and @KD9KCK for their help on generating TLE sets for this launch:

There is a TLE from space-track.org, probably for rocket part or the METEOR satellite:

Listened on the first good passes over EM00 and didn’t hear anything from Meteor M No. 2-4 on 1700, 1705, 137.1, nor 137.9 MHz.

EDIT: SATDUMP Nightly build is supporting M2-4 now.

Also, I see this on Celestrak.

EDIT: From these TLE sets, the OBJECT Q(59065) seems to be away from the rest of the group, so probably this is METEOR M2-4, so I’ve changed for now to follow this object in DB.
EDIT 2: For the rest of the satellites I’ll use randomly TLEs as they are all so close. In the next days after enough separation and when all the objects are cataloged we can move forward to identify them.

I haven’t noticed that OBJECT A( 59051) is the most far away from the group, so this is METEOR M2-4, the OBJECT Q(59065) is the only that fits PARS-1 for now.

That is how it looked to me also. 59051 is just 1.5 min. behind the prelim. TLE we were using for Meteor-M2.4…

With the recent TLE sets, here are the latest results and the current fits. Note that until the TLE sets are assigned to objects in space-track.org we can not perform any identification.

With the recent new TLE sets, here are the latest results and the current fits updated by strf observations by @PE0SAT and @KD9KCK.

Note: Until the TLE sets are assigned to objects in space-track.org we can not perform any final identification.
Note 2: I left the other possible column untouched and I’ll edit it later.

It is alive. Early morning pass at EM00 shows the center carrier. For some reason the transmitter choices on Meteor M No. 2-4 don’t allow wide bandwidth yet.

Thanks I’ll include it in my next update.
