Soyuz-2.1a / Fregat Baikonur launch 2021-03-22T06:07 UTC

It seems that objects like 2021-022AD have disappeared from

https://www.celestrak.com/NORAD/elements/tle-new.txt

… but are also not in

https://www.celestrak.com/NORAD/elements/active.txt

… and since I don’t see any other object identified as GRBAlpha (and perhaps this affects object #'s we were using for other uncertain objects also), what can be done for a TLE for objects that were not yet firmly identified?

Thanks!

-Scott, K4KDR

Not sure why it disappeared, it is back now, at least on the active satellites list. In general case if we don’t have a TLE set from any of the sources we use and we receive the satellite then we can generate our own, currently using strf tools and observations that are performed independently from community members.

Ah, yes – they even have it by name now. Thanks!!

Update on the fits for the 38 TLE sets by using ikhnos. GRBALPHA and KSU-Cubesat are identified and indirectly SIMBA:

Regarding Observation 4010013
KMSL does not fit properly to 47958

This is because it is not KMSL but 43793 CSIM, bellow is the result of ikhnos by using CSIM TLE set and CSIM transmitter frequency:

Hello, Fredy.

Always, thank you for your efforts in Satnogs

This is just information for you and users.

There was a single event effect in ISIS UHF Tx Modem. Through ‘reset command’ from ground station without OBC reset. The modem works well again now.

So, everything is good now.

NANOSATC-BR2 has been identified as OBJECT U(47950) and KMSL is OBJECT AC(47958) I’ll post later more info.

BEESATs will beacon continuously the next 48h, so I have scheduled observations to help identify the objects.

13 posts were split to a new topic: OrbiCraft-Zorkiy - SSTV event

What’s the satnogs policy re: uncoordinated satellites please? I seem to remember it was to help identify rogue sats but I think I need a reminder of where the previous discussions got to on this.

73s Chris

@drchrisbridges you can find the policy for now in Changes in Network and DB for satellites that violate frequency regulations.
