GREAT job!! I scanned 2200-2290 but had not yet found anything during passes of those objects.

Thanks!

Confirming the earlier report of an S-Band signal from the SpaDeX pair on 2210 MHz.

However, on a 56° max elevation pass, my 1-meter dish just BARELY saw the signal. Altitude currently showing 479 km, so that didn’t help either.

Display was showing just over 4 MHz of spectrum; the signal was wider than that.

Thanks again for the discovery!

Now switched strf to 2232 center. Should find another one

Has anyone got a successful reception of this bird?
Tried on the 135x utc pass over UK but nothing heard here.

The announcement was (again) to late for me.

I find it difficult to understand the sentence "“Each sequence will repeat for 15 minutes …”.

Does it mean that the payload will stay online only 15 minutes after it was switched on?

Must admit slightly confused too. I thought it repeated the sequence every 15 mins.

A post on the AMSAT board (Re: SSTV & APRS packets from BGS ARPIT payload on POEM-4 platform - AMSAT-BB - mailman.amsat.org) says…

The sequence is as below on 145.870 FM

  1. Prerecorded audio message 2. APRS Beacon on 145.870 post which payload will switch to 145.825 for 1 minute for APRS Digipeates (Via ARISS)3. SSTV transmissions (10 Images) starting with PD120 next image with Robot 72 and alternating.
This entire sequence will repeat for 15 minutes.

Wouldn’t 5 PD120 images take 10mins and 5 Robot 72 images take 6mins plus any gap between. That’s at least 16 mins, plus 1 min APRS digipeater and the APRS beacon & audio message. How can it repeat for / every 15 mins? If it only last 15 mins, or restarts the sequence every 15 mins the last images wouldn’t be transmitted.

A few posts on that board also reporting “Nothing heard” for today’s passes.

Still no luck listening for BGS ARPIT on 145.870 & 145.825.

Pass over the Eastern U.S. this afternoon reached 70° max elevation, but nothing seen or heard.

SatNogs observations from the Bochum Observatory confirm that both APRS & SSTV are active, but if a 20-meter dish is required, I’m afraid that I won’t be getting any decodes.

You are speaking of this observation with an eggbeater?
It shows a Robot 72 SSTV image in a good quality and Greetings + Telemetry together on 145.870.

ARPIT To CQ Via WIDE2-1
Greetings from BGS-ARPIT Payload!

ARPIT To VU3CNX
TM#30,f59,3fe,e00

The sequence looks like SSTV (PD120), Greetings, Telemetry, SSTV (Robot72), Greetings, Telemetry, SSTV (PD120) and so on with 1 minute pause between each transmission.

OK, that possibly makes more sense for the 15 min transmission time - the sequence audio, tlm, 1 sstv is repeated, not the full 10 images.
Probably implies 15min then off? If so why schedule multi-hour active periods?

Can we expect POEM-4 to also transmit in S-band ? 2231 MHz but have to check if that’s close to center ?

Checked and nothing to complain

No signals on 145.825 and 145.870 on zenith pass on 15th between 07:17 and 07:24.
No response from digipeater.

Thanks for the update
