Observation 13329170: CoRAL (98396)

Regarding Observation 13329170

Why is CoRAL listed as FM?

It actualy appears to be GMSK9600.

If you ever tried to find information regarding launches and satellites onboard you would know the answer.

Please visit https://db.satnogs.org/ and propose a change, so that we can keep the information in order together.

Ok - I understand - yes, I tried - without success

Maybe before proposing a change, I should try to find out more details - framing for example …

thx & 73,

From this post ISS Deployment (JAXA) J-SSOD#35 - 2026-02-03 08:20 UTC - #20 by K4KDR and the info above I’ve changed the FM to MSK9k6 AX.100.

As Jan noted, trying to find information for launches/deployments, especially those with many satellites is sometimes a difficult process. While everyone tries their best, there can be partial or no information.

This is why we started and keep SatNOGS DB a crowd-sourced project and anyone can suggest changes for satellites and transmitters by providing citation/sources for the changes.

One last note, the FM mode is now used as a default value but this soon will change in the next releases to something that will show that there is no info for the modulation.

Thanks, Fredy! I know the problem - and there is usually a TLE-chaos after mass-deployments as well
