Yeep !!!
The KSP theme song !!
really?? and it’s the beacon of OTP-2?
Yes !!!
I can now remember off the top of my head the satellites that transmit some “Music”:
Platform-1 (Star Wars-The Imperial March)
Hayasat-1 ( Reentered the atmosphere two days ago)
ZIMSAT-2 (During a period, he transmitted an excerpt from the Zimbabwean anthem)
I’m sure I’m forgetting some satellite
Haha, thrilled someone heard it and recognized it. I reached out to the original creator and got permission to add it to our satellite.
Nice!
Very cool - is there any reason that it was activated on the 27 APR
It’s been active since late March. We had a bit of a code error on it to start (read - I translated the midi wrong) - but got it resolved within the first week post-launch.
Thx for the reply - is there anywhere we can some sort of schedule for the test OPT-2 will be doing and basic timelines eg:is it still in LEOP phase
Right now I would say keep track of Rogue Space Systems on LinkedIn - we are updating there.
We are post-leop but pre operations right now, doing some system shakedowns.
Most likely during the the previous 50 days the satellite has been maintained in an attitude with solar panel “against” the velocity vector. increasing the drag and therefore
Yep. We are flying with solar panels zenith at this point - so lots less drag.
Thank you for update-you still in "System Shakedown’ Phase
I was looking that this “seemingly” random observation and baffled that it was starting to play KSP main menu song . Thank you @macphersonrss for schedulling this one, I really did not expect that haha. I think it’s always empty on all observation previously and I only expect regular telemetry transmission.
If anyone can please guide me how i can hear the audio to recognise the music or anything else in it and how to decode the data that’ll be great, thanks in advance guys!
What is your equipment?
