LEOPARD received here in Brazil :brazil: during its second flight over my QTH (The first was at low elevation to the east… Location with many buildings here)

:pencil: Edit :
Good sign that what I believe to be CoRAL was received here in 401.14… so far I’ve checked 2 packets and both were demodulated.

Managed to decode LEOPARD CW beacon partially from this observation.

Looks like there is a much stronger signal at TCA but probably the TLE is way off so the CW is not heard unfortunately.

NOTE: It seems that there is another kind of transmission in the last observations that is less wide than the 9k6, looks like 1k2 or 2k4.

CoRAL, LEOPARD and GXIBA-1 are well received by SatNOGS stations.

No signal from KNACKSAT-2 and UiTMSAT-2. For those vetting those two satellites, have in mind that other satellites at the same frequency are visible in their observations, for example BOTAN satellite shows up several times in UiTMSAT-2 observations.

TLE sets above are still good but may need some small fixes, I’ll check and generate new ones tomorrow if there isn’t any published by space-track.org.

Now with the 15 dBi antenna I received GXIBA-1 with 30 dB SNR, but it doesn’t demodulate in FSK AX100 mode 5, neither at 4k8 nor 9k6… ??? What’s wrong?

Hello! Can you share an audio or I/Q recording?

243 packets received from LEOPARD during 22:54U pass, could it be an image transmission?

Thanks!

Certainly appears to be 9k6 baud, but I’m not decoding either. I guess you saw that the left side of the waveform was distorted a bit… I’m not sure if that’s enough to bother things or not.

Hola Roland,

Lots of trial and error to decode even a few GXIBA-1 frames here, as signals RX were weak. But, had recorded an IQ file using GNURadio. Looked for and exported the strongest frames using Inspectrum. Then, converted the IQ snippet to a wav file format using SOX. Under Windows, replayed that snippet (IQ) wav format file in SDR Console. FM wide demodulation. By carefully adjusting the frequency and bandwidth, got decodes using UZ7HO 1KUNS (AX100 Mode 5) soundmodem. See https://x.com/n6rfm/status/2019588630906564869?s=20

Good Hunting,

Bob
