Thanks .can you make a python script to decode , i have python windows installed for silversat
yup. but the problem is it still need third party app c2dec.exe to decode. like ssdv.exe for silversat
Bali , i have send a email to amsat satcontrol with the remarks that the software works for ssdv but not for decoding the audio. let’s see whats happens
now i’m trying compiling it for windows. hope it work. wait a minute
Hi friends,
I am the one who compiled c2dec.exe from the code in Github. It is working well for me in Windows 11, so I am not really sure where the problem is. Still investigating.

I think it may be that one DLL may not be present. Maybe we should add it to the zip. Going to send it to you ON7NDR so you can test it.

Hi Bali ,
the new software from amsat-ea for codec2 utilities works fine now on windows 11 64 bit
the wav and raw file is created with the codec2.exe .
can you tell us what DLL is that? thank you!
perfect!
btw from this problem, i learn many new things about compiling in linux for windows system using mingw ![]()
Now seems to be working:
https://www.amsat-ea.org/app/download/14224194/AMSAT-EA_HADES-SA_SpinnyONE_CODEC2_utilities.zip
Added libwinpthread-1 and libgcc_s_seh-1 DLLs to it.

I must not have all the requirements on my Windows PC. With the latest CODEC2 utility just posted, I get:
Yes, it is working now on my Win10 PC. Many thanks for your quick reaction!
Ok, that was easy to fix. Of course you could edit the run_codec2.bat file which I probably will do, but as a quick test I just added the location of ffmpeg.exe to the PATH in my command window:
set PATH=%PATH%;C:\Users\K4KDR\Dropbox\SDR\telemetry decodes\Hades-SA\utilities\AMSAT-EA_HADES-SA_SpinnyONE_CODEC2_utilities\ffmpeg\bin\
(of course, use YOUR location of the ffmpeg.exe file if you use this method)
The result produced:
… if anyone who speaks the language has time to listen to my .wav file linked above, it would be great to know if it’s understandable. Thanks!
Just for fun, I let Google Translate listen to the CODEC2 audio. Appears to be a good translation of several words.
Hello
The HADES-SA transmitter (Mode V/U - 200 bps UP, 800 bps DOWN - TLM, SSDV, Codec 2, BBS) is using a BPSK downlink for SSDV.
Is this the correct mode for SSDV? I thought it was FSK…
It’s a problem that SSDV is disabled for the transmitter because I need it for routing to a specific decoder… Is it possible to re-enable it ? Is there something I’m missing?
