This should be Norway and the twilight zone (night on the left and evening on the right, so left is north and right is south from where satellite is coming). Captured intentionally:)
Today quite a few stations received the signal Probably will be able to decode a nice picture.
Wonderful! It should be south of Spain!
Is it possible to introduce a function to make the satellite take pictures “on demand” of our stations ? As it does for example the satellite XW-3 ? It would be something amazing
Not good quality. I have to work on playback the capture. But this is my first result of the transmited image some minutes ago.

Looks super! Thank you!
This one is using Jan PE0SAT Satnogs Observation #6868784. It is much better.

Thanks David, good to see the observation was this time complete.
Almost. I have cut the last 10% in the bottom that was corrupted. But a small part.
My geoscan-tools runs on windows completely fine!
That would be fantastic!!
How does geoscan tools work under windows?
I guess by installing python in Windows
Yeah my geoscan-tools can run on Windows via installing Python. I can provide binaries if Python doesn’t work for you!
Maybe in the anaconda (miniconda) environment it will also work
@geoscan Do you know if there will be any other transmissions soon? Could we possibly get more transmissions over North America as well? We only have one per transmission schedule usually.
Of course! We will schedule transmissions over North America later this week
Hello,
I have troubles demodulating iq with gr-satellites.
I downloaded iq files from Jan PE0SAT Geoscan page.
I install latest gr-satellites 5.1.1. And ran:
gr_satellites 53385 --wav ~/iq_57600_6514407.wav --samp_rate 2048000 --iq --use_agc --kiss_out out.txt
And I am getting CRC fails and empty out files. What i am doing wrong?
Is the samp_rate value correct? It looks vey high value. Maybe you have to use 48000?

When I use 48000 more CRC errors appears. Output file still empty.
