Looking at this SatNOGS map, I can’t help but smile…
Looking at the global map, so many stations are participating. But some are OFFLINE, and even among the ONLINE ones, my station is just barely catching the FM signals from the ISS, like hearing a whisper in the wind.
With all these dots on the map, I wonder: just how many of us are actually pulling in practical, decodable data day in and day out?
Well, even with a modest setup fighting the noise floor, chasing satellites from our own little corners of the world is half the fun. Cheers to all the fellow operators out there keeping the network alive! 73! YUKIO
