WAV files from SATNOGS

Hello all, I am John and I am new in the satellite communications field. I wanted to ask about audio files in SATNOGS DB from satellites. So here are some questions that grew on me:

  1. The ogg files contain IQ vectors before any demodulation, right? From what I understood they are raw IQ data without any filtering, so I am trying to understand how to make a flowgraph in gnuradio in order to add this as a source and process it.
  2. I also found that in order to make it happen, using sox we can convert it into a .wav file, the problem is that for some reason gnu radio cant open it, so I am trying to figure it why this happens.

Sorry if my questions seem dumb, I am always happy to discuss about satellites and antennas,
Have a nice month everyone

Welcome,

The ogg file is the signal demodulated audio out and not the IQ.

Below a part of the used flow-graph

IQ files are only created on the SatNOGS-client when the option is configured.

Nice to meet you and thanks for your quick response. This flowgraph helped me understand it.
Wish you the best
