UmKA-1 over Brazil
!! (Extremely strong ionospheric scintillation causing extreme noise)
An interesting fact is a curious pattern of carrier signals transmitted by the UK-1
(among TLM packets).
This can be seen in the network’s most recent observations (Example: #15051283)
She was sending out SSDV over the weekend (approx 18 to 21st). Stil semi-non-trivial to decode unless the capture is very strong.
Time to get me some practice in for the ISS SSTV event!
@taylorwass
I received some digital photos from UmKA`s (it is “him” not “her”) telescope.
UMK_6 (partial) 20.09 and UMK_9 (full) 21.09
And on the sky map
D. H. C. For Central London from its. (UMK_6)
D. H. C. For Central London from its. (UMK_9)
A small remark - the protocol for digital pictures is USP, and not SSDV
Digital pictures is a real challenge as just one broken packet especially at the beginning breaks all the picture , sometimes repeating of the transmissions helps to get broken packets.
Today morning I I received a melody from UmKA and weak traces of an sstv transmission.https://sonik.space/observations/1607501/
Special SSTV broadcast from UmKA-1 (RS40S)
- Tx start: Oct 1, 23:55 UTC
- TX end: Oct 2, 18:40 UTC
- Freq.: 437.625 MHz
- Mode: Robot36
Two images will be transmitted (crops of images taken with a telescope as part of school activities). Source
The start time of the broadcast has been changed to October 2, at 07:50 UTC. The broadcast end time will be determined later. https://t.me/onthe_air/1534
Image received in
at 07:55 UTC.
It appears that the image was transmitted following a command from the ground station. There are still no active schedules in the executor (Telemetry at 07:57 UTC, after the tx of the image).
cool. we back to the prehistoric.. wow
very good captured on @JH4XSY station
at prehistoric, this is classified very secret object..
