The satellite is apparently transmitting at this moment (I still don’t have confirmations about dates and times)
(I was just talking to Aleksey @ra3ppy a few minutes ago and I hadn’t realized that the transmissions are about International Women’s Day)
He told me that he is returning from his trip at the moment, but within two hours a publication should be published on the ON AIR Telegram Channel (Access the Telegram channel HERE)
On March 8–9, 2025, a broadcast of images via SSTV protocol from the small spacecraft (SSC) “UMKA-1 (RS40S)” is planned. This special broadcast is timed to coincide with two important dates at once: International Women’s Day on March 8 and the birthday of the first cosmonaut on the planet, Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin (March 9, 1934).
A special QSL card will be available for receiving these images. To receive it, you need to send one received image to umka1@school29.com, indicating the date, time and place of reception (QTH).
SSTV transmission schedule of the MKA “UMKA-1 (RS40S)”:
Transmission start: March 7, 2025 at ~20:50 UTC.
Transmission end: March 09, 2025 at ~18:00 UTC.
Format - SSTV Robot 36
Interval between transmissions 84 seconds (may be adjusted later).
Hello everyone.
Sorry for not informing you earlier, there were difficulties with entering this page. The transmission of images will continue until March 9, 17:20 utc.
During the evening passage of the satellite over Eastern Europe, a short-term shutdown of the transmission is possible to update the images with a restart of the schedule.
Hello everyone.
We received about three hundred messages during the broadcast period on March 8-9. It will take time to process all the messages. I think within two weeks.
Thanks for participating! 73!
