Here I tried to use Gpredict to control IC-705’s frequency, and I set the radio as below:
Name:IC-705
Host&Port:Same to what I set in rigctld
Radio Type: Simplex TRX
PTT Status: Read PTT
VFO Up/Down: N/A
Then I tried to control frequency, found that radio cannot be in SPLIT mode, that means, the program can only control one of uplink and downlink
So, are there any ways to deal with it? Thanks a lot

I’m having similar difficulties with my IC-910H. I recently made a clean installation of Gpredict/Hamlib on one of my laptop machines and the downlink isn’t being displayed in the Radio Control window. I tried this with two other computers and got the same result.
I have an older installation (Gpredict 2.2.1/Hamlib 4.5) on a different machine and it properly controls my radio.
If there is a bug, I’m not sure how to determine on which side it is.
What version of Gpredict and Hamlib are you using? I have a laptop running openSUSE and I’ve using Gpredict 2.2.1 and Hamlib 4.5.5 to control my IC-910H.
Maybe you could try downgrading to versions that work.
