Massive tx of data from the on-board GNSS Receiver (Non-AX.25 frames) to the ground station in Slovakia.
It was an issue with the data entry combined with a known bug, now it is solved and I’ve made the necessary updates in DB and Network. Thanks for pointing this out!
And that’s just a small part of the entire orbit. So, here we go.
First, here are some interesting pictures showing the speed, altitude, and position on the map.
Now for the more useful part. I compared the recorded samples with the TLE sets provided by Space-Track.org. After the Doppler measurements indicated that object 88254 was the best candidate, we now have a second way to identify the correct TLE set for Marina.
As expected, the results are much more straightforward than the Doppler measurements. The graphs are shown below.
The large errors at the beginning were caused by a manual reboot during the pass over Europe and by the GNSS module downloading ephemeris data.
I compared the data with TLE sets from both this morning and yesterday morning, and both clearly point to object 88254.
Good afternoon @crispywaffle42 ,
I have tried to decode the signals received in the network with the following gr-satellites Yaml file.
name: MARMOTSAT
norad: 98272
data:
&tlm Telemetry:
unknown
transmitters:
10k17 FSK downlink:
frequency: 436.125e+6
modulation: FSK
baudrate: 10170
framing: OpenLST
data:
- *tlm
But wasn’t successful, the gr-satellites OpenLST deframer is based on the framing used by the DORA satellite and I guess its different.
Any help and or information is appreciated.

Thanks Vlad!
In case anyone is having difficulty decoding this one, the frames are six minutes apart! A high pass and some luck may be helpful.
Good hunting all!

Indeed… checking now what I miss.
I was missing MARMOTSat, I’ve updated the original post. Good catch!
Thanks for making this yaml i cant try it right now because im on vacation, also the signal from marmotsat is not very strong at least on my station so it might not be able to decode any frames.
Good day all,
I hope someone from the MARMOTSAT team is also reading these posts.
After going back to ORCASAT and DORA that both also use OpenLST I tried to decode some audio files created by the SatNOGS network.
With the following gnuradio flow graph I have tried to decode the frames received but without succes.
My best guess at the moment is that the values used in the OpenLST Deframe+Decode block aren’t correct.
Any help or information is appreciated.

@N6RFM and or @K4KDR can try to record an IQ file when MARMOTSat is passing its groundstation in Canada ?
Thanks in advance,
Jan | PE0SAT
Sure will, Jan. But unfortunately, the best I’ll have is single-digit elevations so there’s little hope that I would be able to see anything.
Thanks Scott,
We will see if there is some SNR to test the decoders.
