Tracking Request of JINJUSat-1B

Hello again,

My name is Hongju So.

I’d like to request you to tracking and observing the JINJUSat-1B’s signal.

The JINJUSat-1B will be launched 25.03.15 06:39 UTC and be deployed 25.03.15 07:34 UTC. (Expected)

JINJUSat-1B’s transmitter spec is as follows :

  • Frequency : UHF 435.185 MHz
  • Protocol : AX.25
  • Modulation : BPSK-G3RUH
  • Data rate : 9600bps
  • Beacon interval : 10s

Beacon example and included information is in the following attachment.

JINJUSat-1 Beacon TM Information.pdf (288.8 KB)

You can use the UZ7HO’s soundmodem(version : G3RUH-BPSK-9k6) to decode JINJUSat-1B’s signal.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Hongju,

In November 2023 I followed your tracking request for JINJUSat-1.
Unfortunately, a deployment malfunction happened so JINJUsat-1 was lost.

I wish you good luck for this time with the successor JINJUSat-1B.

Since -1B is also IARU uncoordinated but will transmit on an amateur radio frequency, what can the amateur satellite community expect from your satellite in terms of amateur satellite service?

Will there be QSL cards to confirm reception reports?

Hello @hongjuso,

Regarding SatNOGS network tracking on JINJUSat-1B, since your satellite will operate on ham radio band and has the status IARU UNCOORDINATED, the satellite will be followed the first days for SSA operations, but after that, due to this status, only few stations will be able to track it (but still it should only be related to SSA activities) and there will be some limitations regarding data availability

About 10 packets were heard and decoded by me here in Brazil :brazil: around 13:56UTC

I hope we have a program to issue digital QSL cards for this satellite !!

Scheduling observation that starts at 2025-03-18 04:17:41 UTC exceeds scheduling limit for the period from 2025-03-16 08:51:48 UTC to 2025-03-18 04:30:48 UTC Reason for scheduling limit: JINJUSat-1B(98650) is frequency violator satellite
