This is my first post in the forum, so please forgive me if I make any mistake. I am starting this thread to discuss the addition of support for SSDV images.
Will be good to discuss the possibility of combining receptions from multiple stations and using the packets with the least errors.
Also, it will also be great to discuss the possibility of coming up with a better alternative standard for sending digital images from future satellites.
This sounds like something that would live outside SatNOGS?
E.g. SatNOGS Collects packets, stores them into the DB. Only packets without errors are stored anyway, since their checksum would fail otherwise.
Some other process elsewhere would then grab the latest packets out of the DB and re-assemble the images for display.
