Topic to share information on the upcoming SpaceX Twilight mission launch (SpaceX).
For Flamingo-1, ITU shows 401.05 & 2240 MHz… both on the narrow side. Since there’s 20 kHz of doppler at 401, I’ll be curious to see what that signal turns out to be. Might also be a data entry mistake as well when those 2025-07-03 updates were posted.
Dcubed-1 is also listed in ITU @ 435.225 and sounds like an interesting project: “Dcubed-1 (internally known as ARAQYS-D1) “BOOM! THERE IT IS”, a 3U satellite that will manufacture a 60 cm ISM boom directly in free space.” ( Dcubed Powers Ahead: Introducing ARAQYS – The Power Solution for Space - Dcubed ) Sadly, it doesn’t appear to belong in Amateur spectrum but no need to waste space adding that comment to so many of our posts.
… other than the new Connecta sats on this deployment (likely on 869.525 LoRaWAN), it looks like most of the rest of these ride-share sats are members of existing constellations that primarily use S- and X-Band for relatively high-bandwidth downloads of data from their sensors, cameras, etc. But, it seems like there are always some surprises in these mass deployments, so we’ll find out soon!
