SpaceX F9: Transporter-11 Rideshare : VSFB SLC-4E - 2024-08-16 18:56 UTC

Hi all,
I’m from the team at Inovor that will be operating Kanyini tomorrow. I just thought I would provide some details to help anyone attempting to observe comms from the satellite. The parameters of our UHF radio that you’ll need to listen are listed in this ticket [link], Kanyini is already in the DB [link], but the ticket has some extra details for those interested.
After deployment at T+00:56:55 the spacecraft will wait 45 minutes before beginning to beacon once every 60 seconds. Based on the nominal time of launch we expect beaconing to begin at 2024-08-16T20:02:00Z.
If you are looking to validate signals in observations, keep an eye out for Kanyini’s characteristic FSK signal. There should be two frequency peaks, separated by about 10 kHz. You can see some great examples of what a beacon will look like by looking at some observations of SpIRIT [link] which is based on the same Apogee platform. Some examples of a beacon can be found in observation #10045024, #9966830 and #9837875.
Thanks everyone!
