Update:
We have added ASELSAT in DB with NORAD ID 99742. It hasnā€™t been received from contributors that use strf but it is very possible that uses 436.950 MHz (rejected from IARU) to transmit at CW beacon. We are going to schedule some observations for SSA reasons.

About YUSAT-1, we have some more observations with receptions but it seems to have a very faint signal.

Spacetrack has published some ā€œTO BE ASSIGNEDā€ TLE sets but seems to be way to off to use them. So we keep following Celestrackā€™s supplemental list. After running ikhnos on some of the observations with the Celestrackā€™s TLE sets, here are the best fits we currently have:

SOMP-2B: KEPLER #3 - #6, #11(this is chosen to follow in Network) - #13, #16
IDEASSAT: KEPLER #3 - #6, #11, #12(this is chosen to follow in Network), #16
UVSQ-SAT: KEPLER #13, #14(this is chosen to follow in Network), #15
YUSAT-1: KEPLER #5, #6 #12(this is chosen to follow in Network), #16

From some recent observations:

Still observing the 400 MHz sats I noted further up this thread.

  • 401.050 fits well to 47440
  • The others have fairly poor fits. Need to wait for more TLEs.

Could this be the very weak signal of VR3-x?

This one is a bit better. It has 2 of VR3X-x, I think.

Looks promisingā€¦ @maholli can you confirm that what we see on the waterfalls above is on of the VR3Xs?

Some updates on the TLE: Spacetrack 100 TLE sets now can fit and this are the fits I currently have found with ikhnos, with bold are the ones Iā€™ve chosen to follow for now in DB and Network:

  • SOMP 2B: OBJECT AE(47441), OBJECT AJ(47445) - OBJECT AR(47452), OBJECT AT(47454) - OBJECT AZ(47460)

  • UVSQ-SAT: OBJECT Z(47436) - OBJECT AB(47438) - OBJECT AD(47449)

  • IDEASSAT: OBJECT AQ(47451), OBJECT AR(47452), OBJECT AT(47454) - OBJECT AV(47456) - OBJECT AZ(47460)

  • YUSAT-1: OBJECT B(47414) - OBJECT AE(47441), OBJECT AJ(47445) - OBJECT AR(47452), OBJECT AT(47454) - OBJECT AU(47455) - OBJECT AZ(47460)

YUSAT-1 is still very faint and received only from few stations with good SNR, so it is difficult with ikhnos to filter more OBJECTS. Eventually with more observations we will manage to identify it.

It seems that IDEASSAT fits better OBJECT AX(47458):

Iā€™ve changed to follow this NORAD ID in DB and Network.

The latest fits by running ikhnos(with bold is the one chosen to follow in DB and Network):

  • SOMP 2B: OBJECT T(47430), OBJECT AE(47441), OBJECT AJ(47445) - OBJECT AP(47450)
Added one TLE set and removed 7 TLE sets from the list.

  • UVSQ-SAT: OBJECT AA(47437), OBJECT AB(47438)
Removed 3 TLE sets, from strf observations is 99% sure that is OBJECT AB(47438) but I would like to wait a little more as new OBJECTS have been introduced the last days.

  • IDEASSAT: OBJECT AV(47456) - OBJECT AX(47458) - OBJECT AZ(47460)
Removed 3 TLE sets, from strf observations is 99% sure that is OBJECT AX(47458).

  • YUSAT-1: OBJECT AA(47437), OBJECT AB(47438), OBJECT AC(47439), OBJECT AD(47440)
Removed 39 TLE sets and changed to follow OBJECT AC(47439) in DB and Network.

  • ASELSAT: Nothing heard.

New objects added (as ā€œTO BE ASSIGNEDā€) in spacetrack.org for this launch. And here are the updated fits:

  • SOMP 2B: OBJECT AJ(47445) - OBJECT AN(47449)
    • Removed 3 TLE sets from the list.

  • UVSQ-SAT: OBJECT AA(47437), OBJECT AB(47438)
    • Nothing changed

  • IDEASSAT: OBJECT AV(47456) - OBJECT AX(47458) - OBJECT AZ(47460), OBJECT EA(47540)
    • Added 1 TLE sets from the new ones, OBJECT EA(47540).

  • YUSAT-1: OBJECT AA(47437), OBJECT AB(47438), OBJECT AC(47439), OBJECT AD(47440)
    • Nothing changed as we didnā€™t have any successful observations.

  • ASELSAT: -
    • There is something that looks like a signal in https://network.satnogs.org/observations/3569903/ but not sure if it belongs to ASELSAT. Other observations at the same time doesnā€™t have this signal. Iā€™ve changed the TLE set we follow in order to be more related with its deployed group. Now it follows OBJECT AB(47438).

Dear All

The satellite should switch from 1200 BPSK GR3UH mode to 9600 BPSK GR3UH mode on 02/02/2021 from 19:15 UTC or 20:45 UTC .

@XtopheSwl thanks for letting us know!

The necessary changes have been done:

  1. New transmitter(transmission) added
  2. The old one is now de-activated so only the 9k6 is available for scheduling

We have also caught the transition in this observation of @SM0TGU station.

Fun that my station recorded this!

The latest updates on the fitting:

PS for YUSAT-1 identification helped a lot the peaks that has at Ā±15MHz on its signal.

To anyone who is interested in QSL cards, IDEASSAT team has provided a form for it (it accepts SatNOGS observations) more details in https://www.facebook.com/NCUinSpace/posts/1134607760308826

The latest updates on the fitting, with 3 new TLE sets:

  • SOMP 2B: OBJECT AJ(47445), OBJECT AL(47447), OBJECT AN(47449)
    • Nothing changed with the new 3 TLE sets. Just to note that the 2 non-selected (non-bold) TLE sets have been identified in spacetrack as spacebee satellites, however as in the past we have seen wrong identifications so letā€™s keep an eye on these objects too.
  • UVSQ-SAT: OBJECT AA(47437), OBJECT AB(47438)
    • Nothing changed with the new 3 TLE sets. There was a discussion in twitter about OBJECT CA(47485) but we can definitely say that it doesnā€™t fit at all UVSQ-SAT.
  • IDEASSAT: OBJECT AX(47458), OBJECT AY(47459)
    • Removed 1 TLE set. OBJECT AX(47458) seems to be the one but need some more observations to be 100% sure.
  • YUSAT-1: Identified as OBJECT AC(47439)
    • Nothing changed with the new 3 TLE sets
  • ASELSAT: -
    • Nothing received we still follow OBJECT AB(47438).

Regarding IDEASSAT, according to my data it is now safe to say it is 47458.

rms residual offsets

47458 0.053 kHz 437.340208 MHz
47459 0.185 kHz 437.340438 MHz

The latest updates on the fitting, with 3 new TLE sets:

  • SOMP 2B: OBJECT AJ(47445), OBJECT AL(47447), OBJECT AN(47449)

    • Nothing changed still objects are too close. OBJECTS AL and AN have been identified in spacetrack.org as SPACEBEEs but we keep an eye on them until it is clear that is not SOMP 2B.
  • UVSQ-SAT: OBJECT AA(47437), OBJECT AB(47438)

    • Nothing changed still objects are too close.
  • IDEASSAT: Identified as OBJECT AX(47458)

  • YUSAT-1: Identified as OBJECT AC(47439)
