SONATE-2: SSTV + Digipeater

Ah, I’m going to miss them all! I’m returning to Burma (Myanmar) to teach again, so I’ll be without my antenna for a few days. Once I’m settled in Mandalay again, I’ll install my Arrow yagi on my 10m spiderbeam mast and see what I can receive.

Interesting. You are taking the time from the end of transmission. I’m from the beginning of it.

Yes, I was not sure which to use, so chose to use the time stamp on the image once received. I’m not sure what the protocol is? should it be on acquisition of signal? it probably should be.

I don’t know if there is a protocol for it.
I usually take the time of the acquisition of a signal.
In case of a CW beacon, the beacon can always start at the same second of a minute, but the end time depends on its different length each time.

Away from home today but managed to catch the following on the Europe 1429Z pass using a Quansheng with a RH771 whip held next to a mobile phone then later transfered to PC for MMSSTV processing. Very pleased given limited equipment but clearer sky view than home QTH also help signal clarity.

I have an Anytone DV878UVII- Plus and was going to try the same but I only have the stock antenna

I also usually use the end time of the broadcast to share my images (MMSSTV uses the end time to name the files so I use that pattern)

The two cleanest pictures i received this weekend (processed with MMSSTV) with my selfmade Yagi antenna.

No SSTV transmission on 15:1x UTC pass, still on “planned”.

Digipeater is still active.

Got ready in the middle of the night and received an almost perfect signal - then my laptop ran out of power…
Still a nice image, will try again!
