I was able to confirm Sylt, Germany, but I can’t identify where the first photo was taken.

Planned SSTV transmissions: March 4 ~ 5 (12 to 12 UTC)

Only one pass for my location at 10° elevation.

Seems to be a preparation for the planned transmissions between 6 and 8 (friday to sunday).

Thanks daniel @dl7ndr for heads up. Unfortunately like you no good passes for me on this activation, everything below 10deg. Lets hope for better at the weekend.

I will have a 47 degree pass over my QTH in Cambodia in about 6 hours from now . I’ll run MMSSTV and Blackcat and also record the baseband audio from SDR++ while I’m in the land of nod!

Well that’s disappointing :frowning:. Just looked at the schedule for the weekend activation and comparing against the AMSAT online pass predictor it seems there will be minimal coverage for my QTH (IO91vi, S. London, UK). Of the 18 passes over my location over the activation period I think I found 5 slots when SONATE-2 will be transmitting. For those the max elevations are 6, 10, 28, 5 and 10 degrees, so probably only 1 with a reasonable chance of a decent image. I also have passes with max elevation of 74, 47, 38, 72 and 45 degrees but it’s not scheduled to transmit at those times.

They often seem to target transmissions more for central Europe with UK either being low elevation or only in the transmission window for a few minutes … must be a Brexit thing
