The production site has been updated.
https://satnogs.jwgtechs.com is now the best place to see “stable” views with the globe.
Last weekend this was displayed at Hamvention.
I would like to thank everyone for this opportunity.
Also https://satnogs.jwgtechs.com/ now uses MapBox for its maps instead of Bing Maps. (I was nearing the 1000 map requests a month limit for the free access. MapBox allows 50,000 requests.)
Just a heads up to anyone using my map. The dev site has not been on for over a month. If you are trying to use that. Please stop.
William,
Could you give me a hand / walk through installing this on my Pi4 so i can have it display my station passes.
Thanks
Karl.
Actually unless you want to host copy of the website there is nothing to install. I run the monitor currently and it shows the fully network’s status (Still up at https://satnogs.jwgtechs.com ) Although currently its a bit bugged out an android devices. (Map on the globe doesn’t render, working on that.)
I am going to work on adding per station display information in again as during my last overhaul of the website I forgot about it. This would be accessed thru a slightly different URL just.
You can now use https://satnogs.jwgtechs.com/station/<station_id> where <station_id> is replaced with the ID of your station, it will then only show you passes that are for your station.
Hi and thanks for the info… I can get the website up with my station 1920 but it’s just a globe and shows my location but it’s not showing my future passes and i currently have 7 scheduled.
Thanks
Karl.
It shows realtime what is happening. So if none of them are actively happening they won’t be displayed.
