Hello SatNOGS Team, I would like to deploy a SatNOGS ground station at my end. Could you please let me know whether does it require Rx/Tx licensing or Telecom/Space regulatory permission to receive and transmit through this ground stations? Thanking you.
AFAIK the satnogs project is receive only at the moment
This full answer will depend on your jurisdiction but in general you can receive without a license on most frequencies, in general you would need a license for transmissions.
e.g. for transmitting to satellites that operate within/under the Amateur radio regulations you would need an amateur radio license.
Even then there would/could be issues with 3rd party transmissions that would be an issue under an amateur radio license (at least in some countries)
