Satellite selection from database

Hi all,
I am using GPredict to track some satellites that my Satnogs station receives.
I have noticed that not all sats are listed in GPredict,
Is it possible to create a module in GPredict called Satnogs (for example) then have the software download all the sats in the Satnogs database.
I was under the inpression that GPredict gets its satellite info from Celestrak/Satnogs so I dont understand why I cant see all the sats !
Maybe I have missed something somewhere, any guidance would be appreciated

Please name one satellite along with its NoradID you are missing.

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the reply
I have selected “All Satellites” and searched for Hod-Hod by name also by catalogue number (2024-199AK).
I have noticed when I perform a TLE update from Celestrak I am informed several hundred sats are “missing”

That depends on what you’ve entered as TLE source.

Did you try https://db.satnogs.org/api/tle/?format=3le ?

Regarding Hod-Hod: Look for the NoradID 98771 or 61768.

Thanks for the info, that made a big difference.
I still dont see CSTP 2.1 ! (yet)
Where do you aquire the cat number from for the sats please ?
Thanks again.

You may look up CSTP 2.1 in SatNOGS DB for temporary and followed NoradID.

Do you have a TLE that you would like to add?

If you are still missing a few, try this, it works for me: build a plain text file with the three line TLEs that you want, name it Brightest or some Celestrak group. Put it into a folder. Update Gpredict from local files and select the FOLDER and not the enclosed file. That will add the TLEs to your Gpredict files.

Many satellites are NOT in the Celestrak groups - some are not identified by Space Track, etc.

Note I am on a Macintosh but this should work on Unix, etc.
