On April 12, 1961, the world witnessed one of the greatest achievements of mankind: Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Alekseyevich Gagarin became the first person to fly into space! In connection with this significant event, the Interuniversity Department of Space Research is organizing an online event “Gagarin Day”. We invite you to celebrate this day with us by taking part in the video competition. Details can be found on the event website.
For radio amateurs receiving a signal from our spacecraft “SAMSAT-IONOSPHERE (RS75S)”, we are also preparing a surprise. In honor of Gagarin Day, a special type of festive beacon will be broadcast from RS75S, for the successful reception of which you can receive a commemorative card in electronic form. The transmission of the beacon “SAMSAT-IONOSPHERE (RS75S)” is carried out automatically at short intervals.

As the SamSat-Ionosphere (RS75S) does not have a specific topic, I thought it would be better to open a topic specifically for this satellite
As part of the event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet Union in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, a festive greeting will be broadcast from the SAMSAT-IONOSPHERE (RS75S) small spacecraft from May 5 to May 19, 2025. For successful reception of the greeting, radio amateurs and radio observers can receive a personalized electronic commemorative card. The transmission of the beacon from the SAMSAT-IONOSPHERE (RS75S) small spacecraft is carried out automatically at intervals of 6 minutes. The conditions for receiving a commemorative card are posted on the website, the address of which is contained in the festive greeting.
