Sakura APRS mission

@dl7ndr, Digipath:JS1YNI is correct.

Digipeater JS1YNI audio level = 53(9/4)   [NONE]   ____||||_
[0.5 09/27/24 20:31] JI1IZR>CQ,JS1YNI*:=3521.15N\13917.30ESHello Via SAKURA

I use 50W x 9dBi ANT, but NO luck. JI1IZR-san use 50W x 10 element YAGI. I think we need more ERIP.

Over the past days I’ve tried the digipeater several times, but it seems that Sakura needs a really strong signal.
Is it possible to program Sakura to beacon (unsolicited) while in APRS or user message mode?

Well done, Daniel
You did better than me. I heard a couple of packets but didn’t get a decode.
Don’t think there are any more passes to try again.

As it seems we can continue operations briefly until the suspension measures, we are providing an additional operation schedule.
We kindly request your cooperation in receiving this information.

Thank you for the additional mission.

JA stations reported that digipeating was possible in beacon mode, so we are looking forward to it.

@gardens,It’s a pity that Sakura’s operation has stopped today.
Thank you for your hard work.

I guess you are refering to citgardens post on X.
However, Sakura is still transmitting telemetry.
And while on a si CW beacon pattern, everyone can try to catch a GMSK packet as well after every 5th CW beacon.

This was my last observation of the CW https://network.satnogs.org/observations/10615297/

Nothing heard for a couple of days now.

same, still nothing.

I think we can say its re-entered or about to.

According to the TLE not re-entered yet, expected in 1-2 days.

This is the last good observation in Network SatNOGS Network - Observation 10624162 at 2024-11-22 02:05:16.

Let’s continue to track it, maybe it will start transmitting continuously now that is near to re-entry.

I’m Jealous of that ground station, the signal quality is far superior to my QHF antenna.

Amsat Argentina - Next 90 days 25 Satellite Decays is predicting Sakura re-entry in 5 days (29 Nov), with Cosmogirl about 10 days after that and Dora the day before.
