Submit at least one to radioamateur@sputnix.ru to get an electronic diploma.
Additionally in April shortly before re-entry there will be a golden beacon. Submitting this via a link to your network station and to the decoded packet will return a special price.
Orbicraft-Zorkiy (RS15S) ON over Brazil at 2025-03-17 ~02:14UTC
I only received ONE packet because I arrived “Late” for the satellite pass (All my observations are made with manual pointing from outside the shack)
I wonder why the AX.25 part in your received packet starts with the 38th byte instead of the 3rd byte after C0 00 as the KISS start marker which is missing in your case.
By the way, an SSTV transmission is being PLANNED on the 21st and 22nd of this month to celebrate the 4th anniversary of Orbicraft-Zorkiy (RS15S) in orbit
Apparently more satellites besides UmKA-1 are expected to broadcast the commemorative SSTV!!
More information will be released on the website r4uab.ru
According to r4uab.ru NANOZOND-1 (RS49S) will be broadcasting special SSTV images as well this weekend.
On March 21-23, 2025, images are planned via the SSTV protocol from the small spacecraft (MAK) “NANOZOND-1 (RS49S)”. This special program is timed to commemorate the four-year anniversary in orbit ICA “ORBICRAFT-ZORKY (RS15S)”.
Schedule of SSTV ICA “NANOZOND-1 (RS49S)”:
Beginning of transmission: March 21, 2025 at ~ 18:45 UTC.
Completion: March 23, 2025 at ~ 18:00 UTC.
The Format Is SSTV Robot 36.
The interval between transmissions is 120 seconds (can be adjusted later).
… and not the best image since it was a low elevation pass but here’s one from the 2010UTC pass over UK. Heard a bit of a second one but not enough to bother posting.
PS Since this is my first time getting images from this satellite does anyone know if QSL’s are available for it - hopefully I’ll get better images over the weekend.
"Friends, Orbicraft-Zorkiy is expected to reenter in the coming days, according to the forecast - April 12, right on Cosmonautics Day.
We launched SSTV as a farewell, to congratulate everyone… we did not announce it in advance, as we were not sure whether it would be possible to transmit the task in the constantly changing TLE conditions.
To save battery power, the broadcast is carried out over large cities and only during the day. The satellite may stop communicating at any time.
Remember that we are holding a competition to see who will receive the “farewell package” from the satellite.
Nice! So, let’s track the re-entry! If anyone notice that TLE don’t track right the satellite, either in private or Network observations (curve on received signal), post here in order to try and generate new TLEs.
