I suppose the not received packets will also appear as black rows.
Perhaps photographed in wrong direction.
RoseyCubesat-1 is a 1U satellite with no attitude control, so images are taken in random directions. The wide field of view of the lens means that there is generally a good chance that the Earth will be somewhere in the image. However, sometimes it’s just a picture of black space. Just bad luck!

Any noticeable increase in SNR due to the low altitude?
I overslept so i missed this one (12 hour nightshift weekend)… 3 alarms set for 10:00utc tomorrow

If the transmission was sent at midnight tonight id have a much better chance of receiving as it would be right above me but 10:06 will be even less than today for me. Ill give it a go and see what happens

I think there might be more SNR but the foot print of the area it transmits to will also reduce as its closer to the earth. well that what I believe would happen

My today’s impression was a stronger signal than before but I cannot tell you in numbers.

Got to love the Brave AI, its very useful. yesterday I asked it to design an Arduino program for monitoring water pressure and capturing the data via IoT, and it did just that.

Same here. Lots of fading. And QRM in the form of a HDMI spike from my neighbor on top of the signal. Transmission ended 10:15utc. Max elevation 29°.
