Observation 4235992: CUBESAT XI 5 (28895)

Regarding Observation 4235992 why it is not vetted as with signal automatically when data is decoded? Is it due to algorithm that was not sure if decoded data come from the very observation or from some nearby satellite?

Hello, I’ve experienced this before and read that it’s because it’s CW Mode and doesn’t automatically get vetted. Someone may be able to add to this.

Thanks,
didn’t know that.

There are some modulation like CW that we exclude them from auto-vetting when they have data due to the lack of some basic checking, like crc, which would show that frame is valid or not. This happens to avoid too many false positives.
