Observation 2333994: POLYITAN-1 (40042)

Regarding Observation 2333994

The first Ukrainian nanosatellite PolyITAN-1, on June 19, 2020 will be six years since the satellite is in orbit, telemetry from all systems comes in normal mode.

In order to view telemetry from the PolyITAN-1, you can use hex data from observation and kaitai structs polyitan.ksy . To convert the text of the received data (hexadecimal code) into a file with binary code, copy the text of the required code to the website page of the online converter HEX -> file (binary). Specify the name in the appropriate box of the polyitan.dat file to be created and click on the “Convert” button.

The resulting file, as well as the file polyitan.ksy is placed in the Local Storage on the site ide.kaitai.io, using the pointer on the left in the lower corner of the screen. By “clicking” on the file name polyitan.dat, on the screen in the lower left window you will get a display of the list and numerical values of each of the telemetry parameters.

The device PolyITAN-1 is completely “made in KPI”: development, design, installation, testing - all processes were carried out at the university Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.

Awesome! Thank you for sharing this. Is it official telemetry format?

Kaitai struct created using information provided by PolyITAN-1 developers.

Ok! I added support for PolyItan1 to r2cloud

@uy0ll any thoughts to add ksy to https://gitlab.com/librespacefoundation/satnogs/satnogs-decoders? This will allow to create dashboard in dashboard.satnogs.org.
