Regarding Observation 1954425 …

Hi all,

Is the carrier that appears at the start of the observation and seems to drift downwards likely NOAA-9 or some other signal, terrestrial or otherwise? I can’t find any observations of the satellite from any other station from the time of mine.

I’ve never tried to listen to the NOAA 9 carrier, so I don’t know what it looks like. But if that IS NOAA 9, wow - that is a strong signal (less than 3 degrees into a V dipole).

Comparing with other observations, this seems to be a doppler corrected terrestrial signal and not NOAA 9.
