Yup, 100% valid and nominal. Sometimes our satellite is only beaconining (perhaps the tiny bursts you’re refering to). Sometimes we do bulk downlink operations to downlink 10KB-10MB-sized files via the SatNOGS network (with gaps between them).
In those two observations (14896533 and 14898124), you’re seeing bulk file downlinks, where the entire file is downlinked, then a pause, then the same thing over again.
Operationally, we downlink most files 10+ times across several SatNOGS observation windows in a 12h period so that any packets missed in one observation can be picked up in another pass and reassembled.
