Observation 14495171: SITRO-AIS-14 (61752)

Regarding Observation 14495171 …I’m still learning how to read these waterfall charts. In my recent observation (#14495171), I noticed a small spot between 20:21 and 20:22. Is this potentially a signal packet from the satellite, or just some kind of interference? Any insights would be appreciated!

Yep, that’s a characteristic signals from Sitro AIS satellites. I count at least 7 with the 3 being the more prominent ones.

Congrats!

Wow, I’m thrilled to hear that! I never imagined I could catch these signals from my small window-side setup. Thank you all for your kind guidance and encouragement—you’ve made my day!

Also when you schedule passes double check that the satellite will pass somewhat close to where the antenna is pointing that will increase your pass success rate.

Thank you for the pro-tip! I’ll definitely check the polar plots and align my schedule with where my antenna is pointing. That’s a great strategy to increase my success rate. Thanks again for all the help!
