No reception on 2 meters; 70 cm is fine

Our SatNOGS station doesn’t record any audio on 2 meter passes although 70 cm passes work fine. Connecting another SDR to the same antenna system yields 2 meter signals, so it’s apparently the SDR configuration. We’re using an RTL-SDR and have replaced it with the same result. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi,
Assuming we’re talking about station 223.
I skimmed through the earlier conversation: strange-waterfall-on-vhf-satellites-uhf-is-fine
There’s a few ways this can happen, I’m not sure which of them you have investigated already.
A block diagram of the station hardware would be helpful as well.

Do you have access to a spectrum analyzer? looking at the signals with a wide bandwidth and high reference level can show if there’s very strong out of band signals that can make the sdr deaf.
Hooking a amateur rig to the antennas, do you get any signals ?

I got a chance to compare the 2 meter antenna at the station with another local station at the same time and now believe that although the station is receiving it’s not at the same level, therefore making it more likely that it’s the antenna or feedline. I’ll check that out further. Thanks for your help.
