Bobcat-1 started again to send GPS data so from the first ones we have this TLE set generated by @cgbsat:

Bobcat-1
1 46922S 98067RS 22098.55714120 .00000000 00000-0 95229-3 0 02

New TLE ‘GPS-3’ shows essentially no difference to ‘Doppler-2’ in the latest observations:

(It shows a worse fit for older observations, but it’s predictive power does not necessarily depend on those).

New Observations: 5755496, 5755438, 5756054 & 5755963

This is the latest TLE set from the GPS data:

One more! Thanks @cgbsat!

BOBCAT-1 is still alive and well! , 3000+ frames in the process of uploading now from this 19:09-19:15 UTC pass

It was an unattended ftp download, there will be probably another one in about an 1h.

Here are the updated TLE:

Bobcat-1
1 46922S 98067RS 22098.79672454 .00000000 00000-0 97282-3 0 02
2 46922 51.6253 273.3587 0009919 267.2973 195.3428 16.37920803 07

With the latest data it will take some time for Bobcat-1 to re-enter. Let’s see if we will be lucky to catch the re-entry over any SatNOGS station.

Bobcat-1
1 46922S 98067RS 22098.85922454 .00000000 00000-0 93597-3 0 02
2 46922 51.6249 273.0079 0011008 265.1618 206.5300 16.39873762 07

Sorry for the spam but Bobcat-1 is still up there:

Bobcat-1
1 46922S 98067RS 22098.90089120 .00000000 00000-0 93930-3 0 03
2 46922 51.6247 272.7737 0010288 266.2362 91.7646 16.41554573 05

That was a great journey! Congratulation to all!

@zr6aic’s station was the last one that caught frames from Bobcat-1 some minutes before its re-entry:

Was this an artifact then? I thought I’d captured it, but it was swinging wildly in Freq.

Yes, that looks like another satellite. Thanks to the GPS-based TLEs, we were actually quite close in frequency for most of the reentry.

@ZR6AIC: I would love to send you a Bobcat-1 mission patch to thank you for catching Bobcat-1’s final transmission on your station. If you’re interested, please PM me your address so I can mail it to you.

This is a “replay” of my real-time map showing just bobcat and its last few observations.
The orbital line only shows up when its in an observation and the line color between Bobcat-1 and the station is what rating the observation had. (Only Good observations show as green, unknown show as red since the code that generated this is from 2 years ago.)

Its sort of crazy to get a look at how its falling orbit compares to what any other average satellite orbit looks like. (As seen on my realtime map)

To view this you are going to have to download the file and drag and drop it on to the screen at Cesium Viewer The part of my program for viewing and recording these is currently not working at all for some reason. I think it might have to do with changes to my CesiumJS and Mapbox API key permission I did a while ago.

You will have to rename it from .txt to .czml had to change the ending to upload it to the forums.
