Hello,
I am an electronics engineering student and amateur satellite enthusiast. I recently joined the SatNOGS network and I’m very interested in learning how to observe, receive, and decode satellite telemetry data.
I’m looking forward to contributing to the network and gaining experience with real satellite observations. I would appreciate being granted observation scheduling permissions when possible.
Thank you.
Hi @zi7fa and welcome!
In order to schedule observations you will need to join with your own working station as noted in the permission matrix in our wiki.
There are plenty other observations that you can use for gaining experience and building your own station will give you even more opportunities to learn about tracking and observing satellites.
If you are interested in a specific satellite and you want for some reason scheduling observations for it, you can make a request to the community here in the forum and station owners and operators may help you by scheduling observations of the satellite.
I’ve a VHF and UHF station under M0JFP, if you can’t get direct access per Fredy’s email LMK anything you want I can add it, I’m based London Heathrow, if it helps at all, station 2 x raspberry pi, RTL blog 4 and high up egg beater antennas. Cheers James / M0JFP
