Lightning Protector

Hello to everyone!

I’m still building my ground station. I’m going to use a Turnstile antenna on a 3m tall mast and then I will have a direct connection to my ethernet switch with a Cat6 cable.

Hi,

I can only give you my experience. I don’t have a lightning protector but then again I don’t get my in the way of lightning here. I guess if your location is prone to it then it might be worthwhile. It will introduce a small loss but that might well be preferable to a fried setup
