Launch Rideshare Services for CubeSat & PocketQube Teams

I wanted to share an update with the Libre Space and SatNOGS community. Over the past 5 years I’ve been building out a complete launch rideshare model for CubeSat and PocketQube missions — something meant to be accessible for small teams, university labs, amateur radio groups, and open‑source satellite builders.

As of today, the entire workflow is finished and fully operational.

:rocket: How I Built the Model

I started by mapping out what smallsat teams actually need to get a payload approved for launch. That meant building a full technical intake system covering:

  • Mechanical models

  • Mass models

  • Pinouts

  • Electrical interface

  • RF emissions

  • Licensing

  • Environmental testing

  • ICD compliance

  • Deployment compatibility

Once I had the structure defined, I built the Payload Acceptance & Integration Form to collect everything in one place. It’s designed to be straightforward and friendly for small teams — not overwhelming.

:satellite: How I Secured Launch Slot Allocations (Without Naming Providers)

To make this real, I spent time reaching out to multiple launch service organizations and integrators. I focused on groups that already support smallsat rideshare missions and have upcoming mass allocations available.

Through those conversations, I was able to secure access to several launch windows across different providers. That includes:

  • 2027 Q3

  • 2027 Q4

  • 2028 Q1

These cover SSO, Polar, and custom LEO options depending on the mission.

I’m not naming any specific provider here — but the important part is that the access is real, the allocations are confirmed, and the workflow is ready for teams who need it.

:dollar_banknote: Pricing & Payment Terms

I kept the pricing simple and transparent:

1U CubeSat — $86,000

  • $30,000 deposit

  • $35,000 milestone

  • $21,000 final

2U CubeSat — $172,000

  • $30,000 deposit

  • $92,000 milestone

  • $50,000 final

3U CubeSat — $258,000

  • $30,000 deposit

  • $136,000 milestone

  • $92,000 final

PocketQube pricing varies by mass and deployment system.

All missions include launch procurement, payload acceptance, integration support, documentation assembly, and support through launch.

:handshake: Community Partnerships & Affiliate Program

Since Libre Space is built around collaboration, I’m opening two programs specifically for people here:

Reseller Partnerships

For organizations, university labs, makerspaces, clubs, and community groups that want to offer launch access to their members.

Affiliate Program

For individuals who want to earn commission by referring CubeSat or PocketQube customers.

This is ideal for:

  • SatNOGS operators

  • Amateur radio groups

  • University CubeSat teams

  • Open‑source satellite developers

  • Community space organizations

  • STEM educators

  • Makerspaces

If you know someone building a satellite, you can earn from helping them get to orbit.

If you’re working on a CubeSat, PocketQube, SatNOGS‑compatible payload, or any smallsat project — or if you want to collaborate or join the partnership programs — feel free to reach out:
