… I see that a date has been set for this deployment: 19-June-2026.
There was another post about HOKUSHIN-1 a couple of days ago, so I spent quite a while trying to locate downlink frequency information.
The only reference that I could locate seems to indicate that S-Band (freq unknown) might be the only communications mode on this satellite:
… if anyone finds out the exact frequency, or if there are comms on any other band, please share. Thanks!

Deployment from the ISS was successful.
So, if no frequency information turns up, I’ll just do some blind scans on S-Band and see if we might get lucky.

Possible downlink on 2287.5 MHz but that’s a popular frequency, so will need some separation from the ISS to know for sure.

@K4KDR if I see well this is ~2MHz wide right?
By the way I was searching for some alternative names for the satellite in order to find their ITU entry, the best I found but not sure if it applies is J-CUBE which actually is the program that most of the teams deployed from Kibo participate in. Using these there are 3 entries in 2024, 2 under the name JCUBES-B and 1 JCUBES-C. The S-band on that entries is more or less around the range 2280-2290 MHz, so 2287.5 MHz sounds possible.

2 Mhz on the bandwidth of that signal, yes.
Besides the fact that that’s a common BW on S-Band, it’s listed in the only doc I could find about this satellite:
